Our story. IN 1954, GOLDEN GLOW WAS ESTABLISHED IN THE BRONX BY ROSE FLORIO AND HER FATHER. THEY BEGAN BAKING TRADITIONAL HOMEMADE COOKIES FROM OLD FAMILY RECIPES. NOW, 62 YEARS AND FOUR GENERATIONS LATER, THE FLORIO FAMILY CONTINUES TO PRODUCE DELICIOUS COOKIES, CAKES, AND PASTRIES. ROSE HAS MAINTAINED THE QUALITY OF THE RECIPES AND CREATED.

Rose Florio, the owner and founder of Golden Glow Cookies at 1844 Givan Avenue died on Thursday, January 21. She was 92-years-old. She began the business in 1954 with her father nearby to their house on Barnes.
